I do not have a sweet tooth. I have a humba tooth. Whatever! Most of my friends would go crazy over cakes or anything that’s sweet. I don’t. They would usually order a slice of cake after the main course but I would go through a tumultuous moment of stopping myself from ordering another rice meal or something to that effect. Or perhaps fries. Although there are those times when I would order a piece of cake or ice cream after a meal but it rarely happens.
I’ve heard of this quaint dessert place right in the heart of the city a few months back. I was really intrigued with the name because a good company should always have a catchy name. BUTTER+LOVE…. Got you drooling, right?
So, last Wednesday, Fred and I went to Butter+Love. By the way, it is located at the Raintree Mall. I had my first taste of their Mango Cheesecake and it was just awesome.
I love cheesecake although I’m not really a big fan of mangoes unless it’s mango float. I really do not how to describe the taste but if you are feeling blue and you don’t know what to do then just have a bite of their cheesecake.
Yesterday was my 2nd visit to Butter+Love. I had their Honey Sriracha Wings. It was not too spicy for my taste but it was cooked perfectly. Although I would have wanted my chicken spicier and less sweet. I like the pickled veggies as well and the price was just right. I also got a taste of their Pork in Hoisin sauce and it was just perfect. I like the fact that the meat was not all fat and their portions are just so generous. We had the Kitkat cheesecake and Chocolate Ube cake for dessert. The cheesecake was divine and I liked the fact that it was not too sweet. The Chocolate Ube cake was a big surprise for me. I am not fond of anything ube unless it’s ube jam on top of a halo-halo but the cake was just perfect. The flavors did not clash because they used white chocolate and the ube was just creamy.

I’m looking forward for more buttery goodness to ignite my love affair with food. I hope they would add more to their menu like pasta. I’m already planning my next visit and try out their frappes.
